Linen's relaxed creases are part of its natural character. Cool washing and gentle spinning preserve the fibre while allowing it to soften with wear.
Construction, dye, trims and lining can change how a fabric should be cleaned. If the label is more restrictive than this guide, always follow the label.

The routine
Wash with similar colours and leave space in the drum so linen can move without hard creasing. Choose a gentle spin.
Remove promptly, shake out and hang or lay flat. High tumble heat can set wrinkles and cause unnecessary shrinkage.
For a crisp finish, iron on the reverse while still damp. For a relaxed finish, smooth by hand and let the natural texture remain.

Between seasons
Store linen completely dry in a cool, ventilated space. Rotate fold lines on long-stored pieces to avoid permanent creasing.
