Material 07
Silk reacts to perspiration, perfume, heat and water marks. Check the label first: structured, printed or lined pieces may require professional cleaning.
Construction, dye, trims and lining can change how a fabric should be cleaned. If the label is more restrictive than this guide, always follow the label.

The routine
If hand washing is allowed, use cold water and silk detergent. Do not soak, rub or spot-treat aggressively; rinse at the same temperature.
Roll briefly in a clean towel, then dry flat or on a padded hanger away from sun. Never wring or tumble dry.
Iron on the reverse while barely damp, with a pressing cloth. Test steam first because droplets can mark some silks.

Between seasons
Apply perfume and deodorant before dressing. Store away from direct light and use padded hangers for pieces that should not be folded.
